Social Network leads to Viral Marketing
In 2007, Apple's Bakery began to build its' social platform with a presence in this blog format and an upgraded website. The goal was to begin to reach out to a customer base across the country by developing an e-commerce community. Today, as we approach 4th quarter sales, our social platform has expanded to include a presence on Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, Plaxo and LinkedIn, plus a newer upgrade of our website http://www.applesbakery.com/ and a blog dedicated to discussions surrounding food intolerance at http://www.smilesmadefromscratch.com/. Being a product child of the 50's and most comfortable with brown sugar, cinnamon and butter who would have ever thought at this point in my career the computer would have become such a mainstay in the communication strategy of my company!
